Under the DASSAI brand, which signifies the finest sake,
the new release DASSAI Beyond takes it a step further.
The world’s first Blue Beyond, crafted in New York,
will be exclusively released at Isetan Shinjuku.
Since 2023, DASSAI Blue has started making sake in New York.
In May 2024, limited quantities of Type 23 and 50 were
reverse-imported to Japan, using Yamada Nishiki rice from Japan.
However, the newly released DASSAI BLUE Beyond marks a milestone as
the first DASSAI Blue to use Yamada Nishiki rice grown in the United
States.
This sake is crafted using meticulously selected American-grown
Yamada Nishiki rice, cultivated by dedicated American farmers. It is
the result of a collaborative effort between local American artisans
and Japanese artisans sent from the DASSAI brewery, embodying the
essence of Japan's "challenge" in producing sake abroad.
The bottle is a special titanium bottle from the titanium ware brand
[SUSgallery], and is stored frozen to maintain its freshness.
The titanium bottle can be refrozen, allowing you to enjoy the
premium taste over a long period.
In tribute to Isetan Shinjuku’s founding in 1886, which is 19th years in Meiji era in Japan, the rice polishing ratio is set at 19%.
・Compared to Japanese DASSAI, the aroma is richer and more expressive, featuring a delightful scent of melon and banana.
・Dassai’s distinctive refined sweetness shines through, making it a sake worth savoring slowly on its own.
