Asahi Shuzo Co., Ltd (CEO, Kazuhiro Sakurai, HQ located in Iwakuni city, Yamaguchi prefecture) has registered four of its Dassai sake with The Vegan Society as vegan products.

About the definition of “vegan”
As “vegan”, Dassai products have been registered as products that are entirely free of animal involvement, whether for purposes of ingredients, animal testing or potential animal-derived ingredients cross contamination.
About The Vegan Society
The Vegan Society has been established 75 years ago.
For this registration, they have made sure that Dassai sake do not contain or use ingredients or tools, made with or using animal products. (“Animal” refers to the entire Animal Kingdom, that is all vertebrates and all multi-cellular invertebrates.)
At Asahi Shuzo, we have always tried to make sure that everyone could be able to enjoy our Dassai sake. This is why Dassai has also been recognized as Kosher since 2010: by doing so, we hope that Dassai would be enjoyed by more and more people around the world.
